Andrew Ockenden, LAPC

Andrew is an LAPC and school counselor who works with youth and adults navigating the ups and downs—and transitions—of life. These may include changing goals, responsibilities, relationships, or identities. He provides therapy and support during specific life transitions and mental health issues and diagnoses, while others come to therapy when they simply feel stuck.

For many, therapy can feel new and a little awkward. Andrew brings a casual, warm presence to his work, helping clients feel comfortable to engage in meaningful, honest conversations.

His approach is down-to-earth and pragmatic, grounded in the belief that truly knowing oneself is essential to living an authentic and fulfilling life. Above all, Andrew aims to help clients build insight and confidence, opening themselves to new perspectives and taking the often challenging steps needed to create positive change.

In addition to his professional training, Andrew’s work is shaped by his lived experience as a career changer, husband, and father.
