Brendan Schluth, LAPC

Brendan Schluth is a Licensed Associate Counselor who earned his Master’s degrees in Music Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University and his Bachelor’s degree in Music from University of Tampa.

Brendan is committed to building authentic, empathetic relationships as the foundation for meaningful growth. He creates a supportive environment where individuals can explore emotions, develop self-awareness, and strengthen connection, while emphasizing the role of creativity and artistic expression in the process of self-discovery.

In his clinical work, Brendan integrates Person-Centered principles with a blend of psychodynamic, developmental, attachment-based, and mindfulness-oriented approaches, alongside Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy. He also incorporates relational, strengths-based, and trauma-informed perspectives. His sessions often include improvisation, structured musical experiences, rhythm-based engagement, and shared creative interaction, all tailored to meet each client’s unique strengths and needs.

Brendan completed his music therapy internship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, working with patients and families across the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Oncology, and Adolescent Medicine. There, he integrated counseling techniques such as active listening, emotional validation, and family-centered support to help individuals process complex medical experiences.

He has also supported nursing staff within Jefferson Health, focusing on wellness initiatives in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). His work provided music-based interventions aimed at reducing stress and creating moments of restoration in high-intensity environments.

Additionally, Brendan has experience working with children with diverse developmental profiles, supporting communication, social engagement, and self-expression through individualized and group-based approaches. He works with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing a range of needs, including anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), communication differences, and identity development, and is dedicated to helping individuals build meaningful and connected lives.
