Carla Krash, LCSW
Carla is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working in community mental health, acute outpatient, and private practice settings. Whether a client wishes to clean out their closet, bedroom, or whole house, with Carla’s support and guidance, she will help identify goals that are vital, realistic, and achievable.
Carla provides a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space with clients to explore difficult feelings and life situations. Her style is conversational and informal as she works with clients who are experiencing a range of challenges including low self-esteem, feeling stuck in relationships or professional life, anxiety/fear, depression, loneliness, parenting difficulties, grief and loss, and life transitions. She works collaboratively with her clients to focus on what is currently going on in their life, using a problem-solving style, hope, and humor, to create desired changes. Carla utilizes a bespoke blend of mindfulness based, narrative, psychodynamic, cognitive, and EMDR modalities with her clients tailored to their specific needs and desires. She especially enjoys working with mothers and their adult daughters in joint sessions.
Prior to receiving her degree from the Bryn Mawr School of Social Work and becoming a social worker, Carla received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Rhode Island School of Design and worked in a variety of capacities as an artist and designer. Carla’s extensive background in the arts enhances her appreciation for the creativity and uniqueness inherent in all of her clients.
