Casey Halejak, LCSW

Casey Halejak (he/him) is a licensed clinical social worker who is licensed in the state of Pennsylvania and a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Casey graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Social Work. Casey has gained a variety of experience with adults in providing group and individual therapy during graduate school and previously as an outpatient therapist working with diverse clients. Casey has gained experience and specializes in treating adults with grief and loss, trauma, complex trauma, substance use, and anxiety disorders. Casey has gained training and experience in Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Casey's clinical approach also includes Emotion Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy.

Casey is a relational therapist rooted in behaviorism, attachment theory, and harm reduction. Casey believes the therapeutic space serves as the starting point of healing where clients are validated and encouraged while being open to learning and growth. As a social worker, Casey vaules a person-centered approach of prioritizing the client's needs in their treatment throughout the whole process so the client's unique needs are being addressed. Casey's own journey with their mental health shapes their clinical practice by providing insight and asking questions that address the heart of situations so clients work towards healing more intentionally.
