Lauren Wismer, LPC
Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah University. She brings experience as a former social worker supporting children and adolescents through therapeutic services and case management, as well as work in outpatient settings supporting individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan.
Lauren takes a holistic, collaborative, and relationship-centered approach to therapy. She integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, strengths-based approaches, identity-affirming frameworks, and trauma-informed practices. She values working with the whole person and honors each client’s strengths, differences, and unique perspectives.
Lauren works with adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults, as well as individuals and couples. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression and mood disorders, ADHD, life transitions, autism spectrum, identity exploration, LGBTQIA+ issues, self-esteem, relational challenges, grief and loss, and stress or burnout. She believes people of all ages deserve to experience peace and a sense of wholeness, and should not feel stuck in their life circumstances. Lauren strives to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen and supported in bringing all parts of themselves—messy, uncertain, and growing. She values the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative space where realistic goals foster meaningful growth, self-compassion, and authenticity.
