Megan Scott
Megan Scott (she/her) has worked in the behavioral health field for over 20 years. She earned her graduate social work degree in 2015 from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
She has had the privilege of providing clinical support and encouragement to individuals dealing with mental health crises in court, through 911 response, emergency department and carceral settings. Most recently Megan has focused on assisting individuals experiencing unstable housing access medical care, behavioral health care and substance use treatment. Megan has experience working with individuals with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, first episode psychosis, depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, PTSD and Complex PTSD.
Megan is a responsive clinician who takes a holistic, trauma-informed, relationally-centered approach in treatment. Megan draws on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Harm Reduction techniques to work with each individual towards their goals. Megan enjoys showing up with authenticity and providing unconditional positive support for each person as they continue on their journey.
