Melina Martin, LCSW

Melina graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Master's degree in Direct Clinical Practice from Columbia University School of Social Work.

Melina spent fifteen years at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where she worked as a medical social worker, working with patients and families with a variety of acute and chronic illnesses. During that time, Melina developed a speciality of working with adolescents and underserved populations.

Melina also has experience teaching social work abroad in the country of Haiti, where she taught medical social work and social work ethics at the only Haitian social work program in the country.

Melina enjoys working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and believes in the strength based model; where individuals seek to use their positive attributes to face challenging situations.

In her own practice, Melina seeks to create a warm environment where she works collaboratively with clients to ensure they feel comfortable sharing their various strengths and challenges.
