Shelbie Willems, LPC
Shelbie Willems is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania with diverse experience working within the mental health field. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and obtained her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. Shelbie has worked with numerous individuals within community behavioral health systems, particularly those who are open to exploring and understanding past and current experiences within the family dynamic, romantic and platonic relationships, as well as improving communication skills, insight, problem-solving patterns, and general anxiety and depressive symptoms. She has been trained in evidence-based models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Adolescents with Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB-CBT-A), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Shelbie values authenticity and genuineness within sessions to strengthen the therapeutic relationship and to bring support and positive change into clients’ lives.
