    Q: Where are you located?

    A: We are located in Center City Philadelphia with the plan to open more locations in the greater Philadelphia area. Please click on the location for the address and directions.

    Q: Do you have evening and/or weekend hours?

    A: Yes. Many of our therapists offer appointments in the evening with offering Saturday and Sunday availability, as well as telehealth. Please contact our intake department directly to discuss further.

    Q: Do you take insurance?

    A: We are credentialed or becoming credentialed with many insurance providers. Please refer to our list of insurance companies on our Rates and Insurance page under the Getting Started tab. You can verify with our office staff if we are currently accepting your insurance.

    Q: Do you take employee assistance program providers (eaps) to cover therapy services?

    A: We are credentialed or becoming credentialed with many employee assistance program providers. Please refer to our list of employee assistance programs on our Rates and Insurance page under the Getting Started tab. You can verify with our office staff if we are currently accepting your employee assistance program.

    Q: How do I know which therapist will be right for me?

    A: Upon receiving your call our office staff will obtain both demographic and clinical information in relation to your reasons for seeking treatment. Our office staff will then match you with an experienced therapist who is best suited to meet your needs.

    Q: What happens at the first session?

    A: At the first appointment, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your session (if in-person at our office) to arrive on time. Your therapist will conduct a thorough assessment that includes discussing your current situation, concerns, collecting background history, and exploring what you are hoping to accomplish by engaging in therapy. Both you and your therapist will collaborate to establish treatment goals.

    Q: What if I need medication?

    A: PhilaTherapy does not offer psychiatric services and medication management at this time but we can refer you to a provider that does.
