Jacob Scully, LPC

Jacob is a licensed professional counselor and a nationally certified counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. Jacob earned his master's degree in professional counseling and forensic psychology at Rosemont College in Bryn Mawr, Pa. While working on his degree, Jacob has worked as behavior therapist for over nine years and has consulted cases as a licensed behavior specialist since 2019.

Jacob has four years of counseling experience including working with juvenile offenders, working in an adult substance abuse rehab, as well as talk therapy for clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief and loss. As a behavior specialist, Jacob has worked with clients on the Autism Spectrum as well as teens and children with behavior and academic challenges in the home and school settings. Jacob also regularly engages with family members for parent training and group therapy to help support the client and their family.

Jacob utilizes his background in applied behavior analysis and professional counseling to tackle both sides of cognitive behavior therapy. Jacob takes a humanistic approach and prioritizes unconditional positive regard and solution based therapeutic approaches. Jacob's use of mindfulness and additional eclectic interventions help hone in on individual needs to shape a treatment plan that fits the client's goals ranging from variations of informed care and client engagement strategies.
